Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons! The United Nations sanctioned this day to bring international awareness and attention to human trafficking and promote the ending of suffering for millions of people. Today is about fighting for the rights of people trapped in modern slavery and seeing them treated with dignity.

What is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking is defined as "the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring, or receipt of persons by improper means for an improper purpose including forced labor or sexual exploitation."

It’s a very wordy and legal definition - so what does that mean?

If you take or hold someone a person by using threats, force, coercion, fraud, or deception for any purpose that harms, violates or dehumanises them - you are trafficking someone.

How does Human Trafficking affect me?

Over $350 BILLION worth of goods sold in the top 20 global economies are produced by people trapped in slavery. Everyday we are buying electronics, clothing and food (fish, cocoa, sugarcane) without knowing who made it and how it got into our hands.

Today we gather together online and in person to say

IT'S NOT OK!

Everyone can do something!

Every donation received goes towards the vital care and support of girls rescued out of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Every purchase of items from our online store ensure the safe and fair employment of families in Cambodia who have been affected by human trafficking.

Every hour spent volunteering and advocating helps raise awareness and funds to help us join together to end human trafficking.
