ABOUT Chok Roth*

Chok Roth* was welcomed to the SHE Rescue Home - Community program: This means she has a safe place to live with her aunt and uncle while we provide counselling, social work and financial support. She has been enrolled in her new school and receiving all of her book materials. We have also helped her Aunt and Uncle in finding a new home that could fit the growing family.

Chok Roth* was being groomed by suspected traffickers online. Her Aunt recognised the behaviour, removed her from the situation and offered her a safe home where the perpetrators couldn’t find her. The financial pressure of keeping Chok Roth* in school meant her aunt asked for us for help.

Chok Roth’S* FAMILY

Chok Roth's* Aunt and Uncle were already known to the SHE Rescue Home as one of our trusted families and when they identified that their niece was in a dangerous situation they asked for our help to support her living with them.

Her mother passed away when she was young and she has been raised by her father and grandmother in the provinces. Her father has been the sole supporter for the family working as a labourer on a farm. He has struggled to support his family on his own.

Chok Roth’S* FUTURE

Chok Roth* wants to be a translator. She will need to finish high school and get into university to make this dream a reality. She will finish high school in 3 years. Our social workers will continue to provide online safety information and teach these necessary skills. We are also supporting her schooling financially.
