THINGS SHE LIKES TO DO
Srey Mol’s* Reintegration story so far:
Milestones for her time in the SHE Rescue Home:
Srey Mol* first came to the SHE Rescue Home in December 2017. Since then, she has grown in her emotional awareness and developed many friendships with other girls in the home. She knows how to keep herself safe and is obedient towards the house mothers requests. She had dreamed of working in a beauty salon and passed a highly competitive selection process to a prestigious salon training program. In this program, while she learns, she will earn a monthly allowance plus additional tips.
About her reintegration:
Srey Mol* was reintegrated into the SHE Transition Home in August 2019. Her family lives outside of the city and she was offered a placement in a local beauty salon training program. Living in the SHE Transition home allows her to take up this opportunity. She visited her family briefly before moving in. At her reintegration party, she was given a bicycle, phone, clothes, shoes, a bag of rice and a mosquito net.
Support for the next three years:
Srey Mol’s Social Worker and Counsellor will continue to help strengthen her independence. We would like to see her able to support herself, so one day she can have the opportunity to run her own beauty salon.
